5 Nude Ladies - Pentych

These panels were painted for my first solo exhibition in February 201l, which lasted 3 weeks. They took almost five months to paint and hung complete for only three days, before being removed for being to rude!

I have always enjoyed painting the human figure from my first paintings I did in college, there is something about the way the light reflects of the curves of a woman.

I have been unable to sell these pieces I think mostly because of there size, however I hope one day someone will come a long and be there custodians as I am certain there are a investment for the future.

Gold Hill

Gold Hill - Acrylic on Canvas

I used to live near here and would look down gold hill, every time I drove by.
I spent about 25 hours painting this but enjoyed every moment
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
 / 51.005057; -2.197191
Gold Hill is a steep cobbled street in the town of Shaftesbury in the English county of Dorset. It is famous for its picturesque appearance; the view looking down from the top of the street has been described as "one of the most romantic sights in England." The image of this view appears on the covers of many books about Dorset and rural England, as well as on countless chocolate boxes and calendars.
Gold Hill has also been used as a setting for television commercials: it features in the 1973 "Boy on Bike" television advertisement for Hovis bread, that has been voted Britain's favourite advertisement of all time. It was directed by Ridley Scott, and includes the distinctive main theme of Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9. Gold Hill also featured in a recent advert for supermarket Morrisons.
The street also features in the 1967 film version of Thomas Hardy's "Far From the Madding Crowd".
At the top of the street is the 14th century St Peter's Church, one of the few buildings remaining in Shaftesbury from before the 18th century. The ancient cobbled street runs beside the walls of the ancient Shaftesbury Abbey built by King Alfred the Great.

I look to see the lies

Iridescent Peacock - Mixed Media on Canvas

I don't trust you,
There I have said it to your face,
When I listen to your words
I look to see the lies
But why would I lie to you?
You always have...

---------------------------

Trust is a fragile word you either have it or you don't
Some peoples lives are shallow; work, food, sleep and repeat daily until death.
There are some that have deep carefully woven lives full of so many different lifestyles, angles, odd circles of friends.
That should they all meet it would herald the start of the Apocalypse.

People should learn that trust should be taken at face value, trust until proven wrong
This we see in animals they trust until you break that undertsanding.

Tulipmania

Tulipmania - Palette Knives on Canvas

Flowers bring beauty into my life, my mother adored her garden, flowers and plants.
I grew up knowing about them, learning how to care for them and sharing my
mothers passion for them but I think for me it was the colour that captivated me.
The way mother nature painted such elaborate colours on such delicate petals.

I try to capture this in my paintings but so often feel I have failed, Tulipmania shows the
other side of flowers the splash of intense colour that burns into the soul and the spirit.

When I look at flowers I think of my mother and how she enjoyed them but I also think about her funeral
for she had a blanket of flowers that covered her, my father spent a hundred pounds on this 'Coffin Blanket'
I asked him why did you spend so much money, he said because he never brought her enough flowers
when she was alive.
There is a moral there, you just have to see it!

How to say sorry

Russet Charm - Acrylic on Canvas

How do you say sorry to someone you really love but they don't want to hear it?
I have often wondered this, you can plead to them but you see no compassion, you can cry in
front of them but they don't taste your tears, try shouting at the them but there ears are deaf.
If they don't or can't forgive you, you are wasting your time.
Say sorry to your self and hope that you will not make the same mistake twice.

Blood Orange.

Blood Orange - Watercolours

This is not the first time I have painted the centre of a fruit, I done a kiwi, Pomegranate, lime and even a orange.
However this was the first time I painted it with watercolours, proved to be a interesting project and rather good fun.
This would look amazing with a broad wide mount around it and white frame.

I seen in colour what I see in people some are pale and dull but some a bold and vibrant, I know which one I am!

A Day Filled With Sun

Low Tyde - In Pastels

May your day be filled with family, friends, love, joy, laughter and happiness.
May all your Dreams and Goals become your Achievements, so you'll have room for new ones!

It is amazing how a day with sunshine makes all the difference but it is at the close of day when the sun is
low in the sky that your mind drifts towards reflections..
