Sunset Across The Sandbanks

Sunset Across The Sand Banks

Acrylics on Canvas
8x8"
I often paint a moon / sun in my paintings so look out for them, they mean something!
In this the sun is setting, over mud banks which drag you down - It is a closure to a year but also closure to the stuff that drags you down...
Every painting tells a story and this is mine

The Trail To My Heart

I thought I had painted my last for 2014 when boredom struck
so I pulled my paints out and worked on finishing this project
I am really chuffed with it...

Acrylics on linin canvas

Love, romance, magic is all wrapped up in this enchanting painting. Featuring a lady in a floating red dress, red shoes and flowers in her hair. she is carrying a basket of rose petals which she scatters behind her into the spiritual woods. The trail leads to her heart, boundless love and a life of happiness within her magical embrace.

Currently only for sale via the Art Gallery Tetbury

Drawing Nudes

Graphite & Biro

As a artist I find the female body one of the most interesting subjects to draw and
paint, however nudes are not one of the most easiest to sell
So it seems I don't often find my self  allowing the time to do them

I love the way the body curves, shadows that lay under the breast, collar bone and rib cage
The little darkness under the belly button and inner thigh

Graphite is a great medium to use for gaining these slight shadows
using different values you can create an effective drawing with little effort

Thus using graphite, Charcoal and pastels ideal for quick
nude sketches

Don't Let Go

Acrylics on Board

A few years back I painted 'Boys Don't Cry' (see link below for prints)
At the time I wanted to do a series of them all about a boy facing fear and danger
alone in the moody streets of a busy road. Alas things changed for me
and it never got painted until the other week I came across the board I had prepared for it
(It's amazing what lurks around ones studio) and so with a clear mind
I prayed to the artistic gods that they would empower me to do it justice
I am pleased, even more so that it is now framed and looks pretty awesome

It is currently for sale via the Tetbury Art Gallery

Crafty Felt Making For Christmas

Felt Making For Christmas

Being a artist I am naturally drawn to creating things, I love baking, flower arranging, sewing, knitting, photography and many other things

However I have never tried my hand at felt design and crafting
Having been inspired but photos on the internet such as these you see here I thought this Christmas I would give it a go!!
Below are come of my effort...

Here Are some of my efforts

When I first made these I thought I would just give them to family but someone said I should sell them, I have tried but had zero interest so I would say if your going to make these your
self, do them for pleasure!

Robins

I purchased these little Tibetan silver made with love charms to
sew on my felt hangings
