Mr Red Squirrel

The photo that inspired my acrylic on canvas painting

 I adore squirrels but red ones have a special place in my heart, Inspired by a recent trip to the Isle of Wight, were by chance I happened to find a group of friendly red squirrels happy to share a few hours with me.
In my painting I have tried to capture the cuteness of the squirrel but also the happiness felt while watching them, with hues of bright green, lime, yellow and white

Bluebells in Castle Woods, Dinefwr I & II

Not far from my home we have a National Trust Property called Newton House
In it's grounds is Dinefwr castle (Owned by cadw)

The castle is  banked by some beautiful woods and in spring they show off a mighty fine
display of bluebells, this year I made a special journey to capture the magic of this place

A Commission of Four Paintings

I was asked by a lovely lady to paint 4 paintings for her 3 children and husband.
Many years ago her mother had 4 paintings done of her cottage in the 4 seasons and each of the children got one after her death.
Sadly now she has terminal cancer and thought it would be nice to have the same legacy.
I was very touched to be asked to do this for her.
She is delighted with my paintings so I just hope the children and husband are too

This painting really did just come out of no where
I had a image in my head of autumn colours and the stag in the mist
it's one thats been floating around my head for some years.
It was so nice to see if come to life on Canvas

This painting was still wet on the easel when it was snapped up by a collect from Ireland
The lady now owns 4 pieces of Supercosmic artwork.

 Inspired by many sketches and photos taken during a visit to the Lake District, 'Tranquil Waters' reflects the spiritual calmness of the lakes.

 Painted on a 16 x 12 canvas
I used a limited palette to gain the tonal hues that bring this
stunning painting to life
