This painting came out of no where I had been looking at a photo of a field of poppies

I went to my studio to paint and suddenly this concept came into my thoughts

I have been trying for years to paint in dabs a little like Monet, I love Monet's work but find

it hard to paint like him. So the sky is dabs but the landscape is bold sweeps of the brush

with vibrant colours ' a new dawn has begun'

While I painted this I thought of my mother, she never knew art would dominate my life so
much I wondered what she would have made of if all, would she have liked my work,
supported it or thought it was a foolish waste of time and money, I will never know...
