I really don't know where this painting came from but I knew I needed to paint something
light, colourful and full of happiness

I thought about my childhood and all the little hamlets you see when driving through the countryside
I guess here is the roots of the painting.

I started this painting some 9 months ago, we had just had dusting of snow and I was hoping for more, it never came!
I adore snow and I love painting snow scenes, they are pretty difficult as snow isn't just white, the colour reflects on it, thus you have so many colours in snow, beautiful subtle shades.
